God really does humble the proud. Sometimes over and over and over again until we get the message. Do you know who’s proud? Those fools who keep sinning and don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, the stuck up Christian girl who won’t even drink one glass of wine and the guy who acts like he’s cooler than everyone else.
That’s exactly what i used to think. What if the sinner is in desperate need of Christ's love and life, shall i write him of as a proud fool? Or perhaps the Christian girl has seen the devastating effect that alcohol can have and chose to stay away from it? And perhaps the cool guy is actually insecure. No no no no. I am proud. Proud for judging people when I don’t know jack didly squat about what’s going on in their hearts. Proud for thinking that their sins are actually worse than mine!
