Born Identification

What is Christmas really about? If only I had a rupee for every time I heard someone ask that question.
Christmas is about born identification. It is a time to remember when the all supreme, all powerful, all knowing God, in his infinite love, came down to earth and identified with mankind. It is a time to remember when the God who is too pure and holy for us to even approach or look at, came down to our level, was born, just as we were and began a life as a mere man.
We often struggle to bridge the gap between cultures, even the gap between people of the same nationality, different families, heck, even our own families. It takes something special to step out of where we are and cross social, economic, family, racial boundaries. You see, we talk about Gods love shown through Christ’s death on the cross, but lets also remember His love shown by crossing the heavens, through His born identification.
